# iBackup Kit vs Y Disk Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Y Disk Pro at free against iBackup Kit's paid. Y Disk Pro also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (50 vs 9). iBackup Kit's advantage is review sentiment (34% vs 4%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Y Disk Pro holds the better App Store score, 1.5 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Y Disk Pro has 50 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of iBackup Kit's written reviews are positive against 4% of Y Disk Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iBackup Kit ships an update every 5 months, Y Disk Pro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
