# iBackup Kit vs iDiskk Player

The clearest difference is rating: iDiskk Player at 2.3 against iBackup Kit's 1.3. iDiskk Player also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). iBackup Kit's advantage is review sentiment (34% vs 14%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iDiskk Player holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iDiskk Player has 92 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of iBackup Kit's written reviews are positive against 14% of iDiskk Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iBackup Kit ships an update every 5 months, iDiskk Player every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
