# Civil Engineering vs ASCE Conferences and Event

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Civil Engineering at 100% against ASCE Conferences and Event's 50%. Civil Engineering also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.5). ASCE Conferences and Event's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 2.5) and update cadence (every 5 months vs every 26 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ASCE Conferences and Event holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ASCE Conferences and Event has 48 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Civil Engineering's written reviews are positive against 50% of ASCE Conferences and Event's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Civil Engineering ships an update every 26 months, ASCE Conferences and Event every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
