# BitCam vs Retro Pixel Camera

The clearest difference is rating: BitCam at 4.7 against Retro Pixel Camera's 4.0. BitCam also leads on ratings volume (92 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BitCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Retro Pixel Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BitCam holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BitCam has 92 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BitCam ships an update every 2 weeks, Retro Pixel Camera every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
