# F45 Training vs Playbypoint

The clearest difference is rating: Playbypoint at 4.7 against F45 Training's 4.5. Playbypoint also leads on ratings volume (4.3K vs 205). F45 Training's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 18%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Playbypoint holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Playbypoint has 4.3K ratings behind it against 205, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of F45 Training's written reviews are positive against 18% of Playbypoint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

F45 Training ships an update every 10 days, Playbypoint every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
