# TRS vs Launch VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TRS at none against Launch VPN's 10. TRS also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.1). Launch VPN's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Launch VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. TRS asks for nothing beyond the download.

TRS ships an update every 4 months, Launch VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
