# PUC vs Doody Chat

The clearest difference is update cadence: PUC at every 2 months against Doody Chat's every 12 months. PUC also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PUC ships an update every 2 months, Doody Chat every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
