# ™ Chess vs Adventure

The clearest difference is rating: ™ Chess at 4.5 against Adventure's 3.7. ™ Chess also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10K vs 3). Adventure's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ™ Chess sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Adventure sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

™ Chess holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ™ Chess has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

™ Chess ships an update every 4 months, Adventure daily. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
