# ™ Chess vs Chess Puzzles Multiplayer Game

The clearest difference is rating: Chess Puzzles Multiplayer Game at 5.0 against ™ Chess's 4.5. Chess Puzzles Multiplayer Game also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). ™ Chess's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10K vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ™ Chess sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Chess Puzzles Multiplayer Game sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chess Puzzles Multiplayer Game holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ™ Chess has 10K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

™ Chess ships an update every 4 months, Chess Puzzles Multiplayer Game fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
