# ™ Chess vs Chess Live Online

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chess Live Online at 82% against ™ Chess's 37%. Chess Live Online also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). ™ Chess's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 626) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ™ Chess sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Chess Live Online sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chess Live Online holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ™ Chess has 11K ratings behind it against 626, so its average is the more settled of the two.
