The clearest difference is monetization model: StaffTraveler at free with in-app purchases against Loop for Flight Crew's subscription. StaffTraveler also leads on ratings volume (6.4K vs 6) and chart position (#20 vs #194). Loop for Flight Crew's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StaffTraveler sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Loop for Flight Crew sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
