# PTL.TV vs SUMtv Live

The clearest difference is update cadence: PTL.TV at every 3 months against SUMtv Live's every 9 months. PTL.TV also leads on ratings volume (55 vs 12). SUMtv Live's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SUMtv Live holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 55 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of PTL.TV's written reviews are positive against 60% of SUMtv Live's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PTL.TV ships an update every 3 months, SUMtv Live every 9 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
