# Argus Publications vs OPEC

The clearest difference is rating: OPEC at 5.0 against Argus Publications's 4.7. OPEC also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Argus Publications's advantage is ratings volume (90 vs 2) and update cadence (every 10 months vs every 39 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OPEC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Argus Publications has 90 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Argus Publications ships an update every 10 months, OPEC every 39 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
