# Rainbow Shops vs Nutty Rewards

The clearest difference is monetization model: Nutty Rewards at free against Rainbow Shops's free with in-app purchases. Nutty Rewards also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Rainbow Shops's advantage is ratings volume (42K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Rainbow Shops against 5.0 for Nutty Rewards. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rainbow Shops has 42K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rainbow Shops ships an update fortnightly, Nutty Rewards every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
