# Th3rdwave vs Pizza Salvatore

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pizza Salvatore at free against Th3rdwave's freemium. Pizza Salvatore also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Th3rdwave's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Th3rdwave against 4.7 for Pizza Salvatore. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Th3rdwave has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of Th3rdwave's written reviews are positive against 79% of Pizza Salvatore's.

Th3rdwave ships an update every 3 weeks, Pizza Salvatore fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
