# Th3rdwave vs Coado

The clearest difference is rating: Th3rdwave at 4.6 against Coado's 4.0. Th3rdwave also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (30 vs 1). Coado's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 78%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coado sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Th3rdwave asks for nothing beyond the download.

Th3rdwave holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Th3rdwave has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Th3rdwave's written reviews are positive against 100% of Coado's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Th3rdwave ships an update every 3 weeks, Coado every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
