# Golf Mentor vs Rypstick

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Golf Mentor at 100% against Rypstick's 41%. Golf Mentor also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Rypstick's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golf Mentor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Rypstick sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Golf Mentor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rypstick has 1.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Golf Mentor's written reviews are positive against 41% of Rypstick's.

Golf Mentor ships an update every 5 weeks, Rypstick every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
