# SMART eLibrary vs 9to9

The clearest difference is update cadence: 9to9 at every 2 months against SMART eLibrary's every 4 months. SMART eLibrary's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SMART eLibrary ships an update every 4 months, 9to9 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
