# Productivity Challenge Timer vs TopX

The clearest difference is price: Productivity Challenge Timer at Free against TopX's $3.99. Productivity Challenge Timer also leads on ratings volume (210 vs 2) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). TopX's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Productivity Challenge Timer is free to download; TopX costs $3.99 up front. Productivity Challenge Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TopX asks for nothing beyond the download.

Productivity Challenge Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Productivity Challenge Timer has 210 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Productivity Challenge Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of TopX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Productivity Challenge Timer ships an update every 3 months, TopX every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
