# RAMScan vs Smart Counter

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RAMScan at none against Smart Counter's 1. RAMScan also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). Smart Counter's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Counter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. RAMScan asks for nothing beyond the download.

RAMScan ships an update every 3 months, Smart Counter weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
