# GPS vs Sandhills Cloud

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GPS at 67% against Sandhills Cloud's 11%. Sandhills Cloud's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (177 vs 13). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sandhills Cloud holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sandhills Cloud has 177 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of GPS's written reviews are positive against 11% of Sandhills Cloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GPS ships an update every 2 months, Sandhills Cloud every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
