# Bowmasters vs Flippy Knife

Bowmasters and Flippy Knife both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Flippy Knife's written reviews are positive against 46% of Bowmasters's. Bowmasters's advantage is ratings volume (1.9M vs 36K) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bowmasters sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Flippy Knife sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Bowmasters against 4.6 for Flippy Knife. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bowmasters has 1.9M ratings behind it against 36K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 46% of Bowmasters's written reviews are positive against 73% of Flippy Knife's.

Bowmasters ships an update fortnightly, Flippy Knife every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
