# iiCanada vs TMC Alarm +

The clearest difference is rating: TMC Alarm + at 4.8 against iiCanada's 3.9. TMC Alarm + also leads on ratings volume (985 vs 8). iiCanada's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TMC Alarm + holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TMC Alarm + has 985 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of iiCanada's written reviews are positive against 41% of TMC Alarm +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iiCanada ships an update every 2 weeks, TMC Alarm + every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
