# Speaky vs Lexody

The clearest difference is rating: Speaky at 4.0 against Lexody's 3.0. Speaky also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 2). Lexody's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lexody sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Speaky asks for nothing beyond the download.

Speaky holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speaky has 3.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Speaky ships an update every 5 weeks, Lexody every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
