# Spades Auction vs HexVolt

The clearest difference is update cadence: HexVolt at fortnightly against Spades Auction's monthly. Spades Auction's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spades Auction sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and HexVolt sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spades Auction ships an update monthly, HexVolt fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
