# U vs Hatetenance

The clearest difference is price: U at Free against Hatetenance's $1.99. U also leads on ratings volume (48 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.1). Hatetenance's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 2.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

U is free to download; Hatetenance costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hatetenance holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: U has 48 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

U ships an update every 3 months, Hatetenance weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
