# WiFi+Transfer vs QR Reader NEXT

The clearest difference is update cadence: QR Reader NEXT at weekly against WiFi+Transfer's every 3 months. WiFi+Transfer's advantage is iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WiFi+Transfer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and QR Reader NEXT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WiFi+Transfer ships an update every 3 months, QR Reader NEXT weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
