# SlideShow Maker vs Slideshow Pro

SlideShow Maker and Slideshow Pro both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Slideshow Pro's written reviews are positive against 29% of SlideShow Maker's. Slideshow Pro also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.3). SlideShow Maker's advantage is ratings volume (40K vs 30). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SlideShow Maker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Slideshow Pro sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slideshow Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SlideShow Maker has 40K ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of SlideShow Maker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Slideshow Pro's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
