# 生词本 vs LinkWord

The clearest difference is ratings volume: 生词本 at 2.6K against LinkWord's 2. 生词本 also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). LinkWord's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 生词本 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and LinkWord sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LinkWord holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 生词本 has 2.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

生词本 ships an update fortnightly, LinkWord every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
