# VPN Pro vs Psiphon Browser

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Psiphon Browser at none against VPN Pro's 11. Psiphon Browser also leads on review sentiment (51% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). VPN Pro's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 394). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Pro sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Psiphon Browser asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Pro has 2.8K ratings behind it against 394, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of VPN Pro's written reviews are positive against 51% of Psiphon Browser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN Pro ships an update every 2 months, Psiphon Browser every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
