# PDF Viewer by Nutrient vs Files.com

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Files.com at none against PDF Viewer by Nutrient's 2. Files.com also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 73%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). PDF Viewer by Nutrient's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (9.1K vs 5). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Viewer by Nutrient sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 3 months. Files.com asks for nothing beyond the download.

PDF Viewer by Nutrient holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Viewer by Nutrient has 9.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of PDF Viewer by Nutrient's written reviews are positive against 100% of Files.com's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
