# Addons Pro vs Addons for Minecraft ‣

The clearest difference is monetization model: Addons for Minecraft ‣ at free with in-app purchases against Addons Pro's subscription. Addons for Minecraft ‣ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). Addons Pro's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 45%). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Addons Pro sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Addons for Minecraft ‣ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Addons for Minecraft ‣ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6K and 10K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Addons Pro's written reviews are positive against 45% of Addons for Minecraft ‣'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Addons Pro ships an update every 4 months, Addons for Minecraft ‣ every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
