# Beatfulness vs Tone Pool

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tone Pool at free with in-app purchases against Beatfulness's subscription. Tone Pool also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.4). Beatfulness's advantage is ratings volume (4.7K vs 165). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beatfulness sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Tone Pool sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Beatfulness against 4.8 for Tone Pool. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beatfulness has 4.7K ratings behind it against 165, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of Beatfulness's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tone Pool's.

Beatfulness ships an update every 9 days, Tone Pool every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
