# Contacts Backup Pro & Restore vs Contacts Backup + Export

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Contacts Backup + Export at 68% against Contacts Backup Pro & Restore's 47%. Contacts Backup + Export also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months). Contacts Backup Pro & Restore's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (7.4K vs 181). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Contacts Backup Pro & Restore sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Contacts Backup + Export sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contacts Backup Pro & Restore holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Contacts Backup Pro & Restore has 7.4K ratings behind it against 181, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Contacts Backup Pro & Restore's written reviews are positive against 68% of Contacts Backup + Export's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Contacts Backup Pro & Restore ships an update every 5 months, Contacts Backup + Export every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
