# Nextapp Edelvives vs PreparaTest

The clearest difference is update cadence: PreparaTest at every 6 days against Nextapp Edelvives's every 5 months. Nextapp Edelvives's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nextapp Edelvives sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PreparaTest sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nextapp Edelvives ships an update every 5 months, PreparaTest every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
