# Week Scheduler vs Period

The clearest difference is ads: Week Scheduler at none against Period's shown. Week Scheduler also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). Period's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 23 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Week Scheduler sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Period sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Week Scheduler ships an update every 23 months, Period monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
