# CAM360 vs minicam

The clearest difference is rating: CAM360 at 2.7 against minicam's 2.2. CAM360 also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 10.0). minicam's advantage is ratings volume (128 vs 24). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CAM360 holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: minicam has 128 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of CAM360's written reviews are positive against 16% of minicam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CAM360 ships an update fortnightly, minicam every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
