# BLE Update vs DarknessPush

The clearest difference is update cadence: DarknessPush at every 3 months against BLE Update's every 23 months. DarknessPush also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BLE Update ships an update every 23 months, DarknessPush every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
