# TBScan vs EGO Connect

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EGO Connect at none against TBScan's 1. EGO Connect also leads on ratings volume (7.8K vs 235) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). TBScan's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TBScan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EGO Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for TBScan against 4.8 for EGO Connect. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EGO Connect has 7.8K ratings behind it against 235, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of TBScan's written reviews are positive against 67% of EGO Connect's.
