# VPN vs VPN Proxy Master

The clearest difference is ads: VPN at none against VPN Proxy Master's shown. VPN also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). VPN Proxy Master's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 236). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month and VPN Proxy Master sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN against 4.6 for VPN Proxy Master. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Proxy Master has 3K ratings behind it against 236, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 54% of VPN Proxy Master's.

VPN ships an update every 6 weeks, VPN Proxy Master every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
