# VPN vs VPN Point

The clearest difference is ads: VPN at none against VPN Point's shown. VPN also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). VPN Point's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 236). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month and VPN Point sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN against 4.6 for VPN Point. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Point has 1.5K ratings behind it against 236, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 58% and 58% positive.

VPN ships an update every 6 weeks, VPN Point every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
