# Empath vs Sup

The clearest difference is rating: Sup at 4.5 against Empath's 3.1. Sup also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (5K vs 70). Empath's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.7 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sup sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Empath asks for nothing beyond the download.
