# Autoplay vs Car Play Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Car Play Connect at 4.4 against Autoplay's 3.0. Car Play Connect also leads on ratings volume (20K vs 2). Autoplay's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 15) and review sentiment (33% vs 15%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Car Play Connect sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Autoplay asks for nothing beyond the download.

Car Play Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Car Play Connect has 20K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Autoplay's written reviews are positive against 15% of Car Play Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Autoplay ships an update every 3 weeks, Car Play Connect fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
