# Countdown Timer vs Almost

The clearest difference is rating: Almost at 5.0 against Countdown Timer's 4.5. Countdown Timer's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.1 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Timer sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Almost sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Almost holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Timer has 1.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
