# X vs Aimera

The clearest difference is rating: Aimera at 5.0 against X's 2.8. Aimera also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months). X's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aimera sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. X asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aimera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: X has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

X ships an update every 12 months, Aimera every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
