# Cylinders vs RingO

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cylinders at none against RingO's 1. Cylinders also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 139). RingO's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RingO sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cylinders asks for nothing beyond the download.

RingO holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cylinders has 1.3K ratings behind it against 139, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Cylinders's written reviews are positive against 57% of RingO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cylinders ships an update every 6 weeks, RingO every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
