# Grade Control vs StudyBuddy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudyBuddy at 67% against Grade Control's 30%. StudyBuddy also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Grade Control's advantage is ratings volume (494 vs 59). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grade Control sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and StudyBuddy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyBuddy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grade Control has 494 ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two.
