# SnapType vs AbleSpace

The clearest difference is rating: SnapType at 4.5 against AbleSpace's 3.6. SnapType also leads on ratings volume (366 vs 5) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). AbleSpace's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (75% vs 64%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapType sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per year. AbleSpace asks for nothing beyond the download.

SnapType holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SnapType has 366 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of SnapType's written reviews are positive against 75% of AbleSpace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SnapType ships an update every 4 weeks, AbleSpace every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
