# Call Control vs Textkiller

The clearest difference is ads: Textkiller at none against Call Control's shown. Textkiller also leads on chart position (#190 vs unranked). Call Control's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Call Control sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 3 months and Textkiller sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Call Control holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6.7K and 13K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Call Control's written reviews are positive against 37% of Textkiller's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Call Control ships an update monthly, Textkiller every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
