# Nukleus vs Color Drift

The clearest difference is rating: Color Drift at 4.7 against Nukleus's 4.1. Color Drift also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Nukleus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nukleus sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Color Drift sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Color Drift holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 28 and 23 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Nukleus's written reviews are positive against 73% of Color Drift's.

Nukleus ships an update every 5 days, Color Drift every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
